Events like these help us to get to know our employer clients better. We also get to remind them about support we offer them now and also what we’ve got planned in the future to help them navigate their way through automatic enrolment.

There are so many new and exciting developments happening at The People’s Pension at the moment, it’s hard to know where to start.

We understand employers are busy too and have a business to run – in fact, it turned out the timing of these roadshows couldn’t have been better. We were able to take employers through how we plan to support them (step-by-step) and in person too, which we believe makes all the difference.

Feedback from employers on the changes we’re making and the level of service and support we provide was really positive – how we help employers on the phone and our online systems received lots of praise!

Many employers were concerned that their employees aren’t taking ownership of their pension savings or even activating their online account with The People’s Pension. We’ve got plans to address these concerns – we’ll look forward to sharing more about how we plan to engage employees more and help them navigate through the choices they now have following the pension freedoms.

Getting out in the field and chatting to as many employers as possible up and down the country was so useful. Here’s my top two reasons why:

  1. Employers told us they understood the changes we’re making
  2. Employers were very complimentary about our new scheme governance report for employers – we aware that we can do more though and we’ll be looking at this.

Overall, employers told us they really liked the way we ran the roadshows and what we covered – that’s clear from their feedback. There’s still room for improvement though and we’ll use the feedback we got to improve future events.
