Are you an experienced Agile Coach looking for a rewarding career in a thriving organisation where people come first?

B&CE has been providing employee benefits for over 70 years. We began in 1942 by creating simple financial products that meet people’s needs, and that’s how we’ve run our business ever since.

We provide simple, good value products and services and our first class support and customer service has won awards.

We go that extra mile to ensure we are.

  • Creating Simplicity

Our people are our strength. Finding ways to value and reward them is important to us. And if you’re keen to learn, develop your career and do great things – you’re looking in the right place.

In a word

Our Agile Coach will be joining our busy Change function initially on a 12-18-month contract. You’ll be pivotal in supporting adoption at an executive, team and individual level. You’ll also assess current Agile DevOps maturity, driving targeted improvement actions and facilitating capability development in key roles.

Practically speaking

Reporting to the Group Director of Change, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Support delivery of an Agile DevOps maturity assessment and own the delivery of resultant actions
  • Act as the focal point on plans to improve maturity, ensuring progress is visible
  • Work with the Health programme to help build, ensure alignment of, and package up the key processes into an Agile DevOps ‘operating manual’ for future use
  • Work with HR on key training/people activities related to maturity uplift
  • Support the development and establishment of appropriate metrics and reporting to monitor, identify and communicate progress to plan and business objectives
  • Being a constant source of agile information and direction working with/coaching teams to overcome obstacles to success
  • Providing management visibility on maturity status and delivery success of teams

If you're right for this role

You’ll enjoy working within a solutions-driven, people-focused organisation.

You’ll have a can-do attitude and work well both independently and as part of a team and be aligned with our
values of Creating Simplicity, Keeping Promises and Showing Compassion.

  • Extensive experience in previous Agile transformation projects within Transformation and Change work
  • Significant experience in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean SD, XP, DSDM
  • Certified in either SAFe or LeSS
  • Expertise in guiding teams in adopting agile engineering practices
  • Strong experience in end to end IT Delivery, Product Management, Organisation Management and Change
  • Experience in collaborating with partners to achieve common goals

The perks

Our people are our strength so finding ways to value and reward them is important to us. That’s why we offer an award-winning pension – it’s what we’re good at – plus health care cover, an onsite gym, access to a personal trainer, and a subsidised onsite restaurant.
