In a word

Your role as a Trustee Pension Specialist will support our Trustee Pension Manager to run the department and maintain strong governance of our Schemes to ensure all governance documentation is in line with regulatory requirements. You will work collboratively with trustees and internal teams, agenda setting, organising committee and trustee meetings with strict deadlines to meet and identify legal or regulatory advice when required.

Practically speaking

Reporting to the Trustee Pension Manager you’ll be responsible for:

  • Support the Trustee Pension Manager in the governance and administration of our pension schemes.
  • To complete and maintain all governance documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Help with agenda setting and meeting requirements and attend if needed.
  • Handle any questions and queries from The People’s Pension Trustee Directors
  • Provide and facilitate training on regulatory matters.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams.

  • Strong all-round pensions experience particularly in defined contribution schemes
  • Working experience of Master Trusts and auto-enrolment
  • The ability to interpret, understand, and challenge regulation and legal aspects
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills
