An apprenticeship combines practical training in a job with study – something we’re proud to offer here at B&CE. With us you’ll gain hands-on experience in the profession of your choice straight after your education.
If you’re bright, ambitious and looking for a career in finance or customer services then an apprenticeship at B&CE could be right up your street.
B&CE is part of a government-backed group of employers (called Trailblazers) that help design new apprenticeship standards.
We’re a growing organisation that puts people first. For you (and everyone else at B&CE) that means:

It’s not just our customers who like what we do. We’ve won product and industry awards too.
Our workplace pension, The People’s Pension, was launched in 2011 and it’s won awards consistently since 2012. We’re also known for high levels of service and support – our customer service departments really do go that extra mile.
We’ve also been awarded Investors in People Gold, demonstrating that we put people at the heart of our organisation.

As a B&CE apprentice you’ll combine working full time with study time at Central Sussex College. Being in an office environment might be new to you so we’ll help you settle in and support your development, taking into account your studies and skills.
From us, you’ll get fantastic training and support, plus a wealth of hands-on experience. And because we’re for people, not profit the work you do at B&CE really will make a difference.
It’s no surprise that our apprentices have grown in confidence and enjoy the work they do. But don’t just take our word for it, hear from Poppi, our finance apprentice.
When I first joined B&CE I started out working on admin related tasks and this gave me chance to find my feet and get to know B&CE better. One month in I began my course at the local college and six months I was working on bank reconciliations and company credit.
Being fresh from college and not having worked full-time before I was admittedly quite nervous about joining a growing organisation like B&CE. But they made me feel really welcome and also gave me the help I needed to settle right in (which didn’t take long at all!).
Poppi’s proudest moment: Administering expenses for around 60 of our people here at B&CE and helping to make the process more efficient.
