You’ve read the books and got the qualifications, time to put what you’ve learnt into practice. And what better place than B&CE to do this – join our graduate scheme.
We’ve been around since the 1940s. And while it wasn’t easy starting a company during the war, we’ve come a long way and have a really great story to tell.
B&CE began by creating simple financial products for the construction industry. In 1942 we launched a scheme that gave construction workers a way to build up holiday pay – they’d stick stamps on a card.
We’ve grown by responding to the needs of working people in construction and beyond. In 2011 we launched The People’s Pension – now the UK’s largest private sector automatic enrolment pension scheme.
Our people are our strength. They go above and beyond to make a difference, staying true to our values of Creating Simplicity, Showing Compassion and Keeping Promises. In return, we make sure we value and reward our people in a clear and visible way and give them the support they need to develop fulfilling careers.
We’ve also been awarded Investors in People Gold, demonstrating that we put people at the heart of our organisation.
Our founding principles and values are a big part of who we are (and always will be) but we’re forward-looking too and keen to innovate. Sound good to you? Then read on…More on how we live our values »
