Join us in creating a better future for the construction industry

The construction industry has made great strides in safety over the past 30 years but managing health at work is still a challenge. Too many construction workers are suffering from preventable work related ill health that can have a devastating impact on their lives and that of their families too. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

B&CE believes everyone working in construction has the right to a healthy working life and future. And, the industry agrees. Together, with the industry, we’re planning to make it easier for employers to manage occupational health in construction, so that workers can stay fit and healthy for longer.

About us

B&CE is a not-for-profit organisation. We create simple financial products that meet people’s needs, including a workplace pension, employee accident cover and employee life cover.

We were founded in construction in 1942. And now we’re developing a new approach to occupational health management for the construction industry. Our new scheme will have a digital, portable record at its heart that workers can take from site to site and contractor to contractor. It’s pretty ground breaking because it will enable workers to own and manage their occupational health records for the first time.
