Last year, Dr Patrick Manu of the University of Manchester was the successful recipient of the Occupational Health Research Award 2017 from the B&CE Charitable Trust.

We were founded in construction in 1942. And now we’re developing a new approach to occupational health management for the construction industry. Our new scheme will have a digital, portable record at its heart that workers can take from site to site and contractor to contractor. It’s pretty ground breaking because it will enable workers to own and manage their occupational health records for the first time.
