EasyBuild Stakeholder Pension – for the construction industry

We decided to close EasyBuild – it’s the workplace pension we offered before The People’s Pension.

Launched in 2001, EasyBuild was our stakeholder pension scheme for the construction industry.

In 2017, we began the process of moving EasyBuild members over to The People’s Pension. And in March 2020, the EasyBuild scheme closed.

The Independent Governance Committee

The Independent Governance Committee (IGC) represented the interests of policyholders of the EasyBuild Stakeholder Pension Scheme.

The IGC was set up by B&CE Insurance Limited (B&CE) in March 2015 as part of regulatory changes introduced by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The introduction of the IGC provided greater protection for members and was designed to protect their interests.
